Alumni Organization

Letran Alumni Association, Inc. (LAA)

  • Established in 1917 but officially registered with the SEC on 1981.
  • Has an elected 15 – Man Board of Directors.
  • Operates as secretariat for the alumni body. Operations are activity-based.
  • Membership mobilization.
  • Fund level of Php 637 T as of June 2007.

  • Letran Alumni Foundation, Inc. (LAFI)

  • Organized in 1986, registered as a non-stock, non-profit organization with the SEC.
  • Has a 11–Man Board of Trustees and a Board of Advisors.
  • Fund level of Php 2.2 MM as of Dec 2006.
  • Has fiduciary function, manages LAA’s excess funds & all endowments.


    Vision 2020 Is About….

  • The historic fourth (4th) centennial anniversary celebration of Letran in Year 2020.
  • Projecting ourselves to influence or dominate Philippine history again.
  • Building up the Letran community’s character through a strong alumni body.
  • Developing new “Heroes” like you for the Letran community.
  • Taking the first step of a lifetime’s work and leaving a legacy.

    Letran Community – refers to the stakeholders’ environment that they exist on.
    Alumni body – all graduates

    Mutual respect – Talks of track record and influence.
    Support & active involvement – Provide time, talents and network to implement Vision 2020 projects beyond financial support.

  • Implementing arm of Vision 2020 projects.
  • Organize limited fund raising activities for yearly operational requirements such as the Annual    Homecoming Raffle.
  • Tap alumni talents to participate and execute Vision 2020 projects.

  • Vision 2020 Key Projects

  • Search for emerging Letran heroes (Scholar)
          Talented students to study in Letran.
          Post graduate studies for deserving Letran alumni professionals or entrepreneurs

  • Document / record the heroic journey via documentary material e.g. coffee table book
         “Letran Alumni in Shaping Philippine Political & Business History”

  • Professionalize the management of the LAA Office.
  • Generate funds by creating a more meaningful and purpose-driven annual raffle by LAA.
